VDIM

Multimedia

The breakthrough Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) [1] system in the RX 400h employs several safety features to help control loss of traction during a turn or on a slippery road. When a series of sensors detects the potential for a loss of traction, the system uses a combination of individual-wheel braking, throttle activation and steering assistance to seamlessly correct the situation before a skid actually occurs, helping the driver keep the vehicle on track.

[1]Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VDIM will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner's Manual for further details. Back to top
