Regenerative Braking
The RX 400h ensures its batteries remain properly charged through regenerative braking. Energy that's normally lost as heat during braking, coasting or deceleration is captured as electrical power, which is then used to recharge the battery. It's one more reason why the RX 400h never needs to be plugged in.
