Vehicle Stability Features

With Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [1], wheel-speed, steering-angle and yaw-rate sensors work together to detect the onset of a loss of wheel traction. If the onset of a skid is identified, the system can apply individual brakes and even reduce the throttle to help keep the vehicle on track. Another Actively Safe feature, Traction Control (TRAC) helps deploy power to the appropriate wheels during slippery conditions.

[1]Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner's Manual for further details.
