Active Power Stabilizer Suspension System

The LS 600h L is available with an Active Power Stabilizer Suspension System. The front and rear stabilizer bars are equipped with an actuator that reacts to signals received by the system’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Sensors that detect wheel-speed, steering-wheel-angle, longitudinal/lateral acceleration and deceleration send signals to the ECU, which calculates how much force is needed to help reduce vehicle roll angle in a turn. This information is sent to the front and rear actuators so that they can then apply the right amount of torque to the stabilizer bars, increasing the vehicle’s sway resistance. Since this is done electronically, response time is significantly quicker than conventional hydraulic systems.
